Fathu Mecca in the month of Ramadan
Muslimcreed | About 10 thousand troops moved from Madinah to Makkah. The army led by the Prophet Muhammad shalallahu alahi wassalam came to liberate the city of Makkah. The event known as the liberation of Makkah or the Conquest of Makkah occurred on 10 Ramadan 8 AH or 630 AD. At that time the Muslims took over Makkah from the infidel Quraysh without any resistance and war.
The liberation of Makkah occurred because of the infidel betrayal of the Quraysh in Makkah by the Muslims in Medina. Then the Banu Khuza’ah in Makkah became allies of the Prophet, while their enemy, the Banu Bakr, joined the infidels Quraish. The news of the betrayal of Quraish reached the Prophet in Medina. However, the Prophet refused and ordered the Muslims to prepare troops for Makkah.
Rasulullah brought a Muslim army of 10 thousand people and intended to conquer the city of Makkah and unite the people of Makkah and Madinah. The rulers of Makkah who did not have adequate defenses then agreed to hand over the city of Makkah without resistance. Then Rasulullah and his companions entered the Masjid al-Haram. Rasulullah saw destroyed the idols and recited the words of Allah SWT.
After the idols were destroyed, the Prophet performed tawaf. Then Rasulullah asked Uthman bin Thalhah to open the Kaaba, then he entered it. The Prophet then removed the images in it, destroyed the idols, and performed prayers in the Kaaba. After that, Rasulullah went out to meet the crowd of Quraish who was waiting for his decision.
Rasulullah saw forgave many people who had hurt him, except 9 of their leaders. In the following year when he led Makkah, Rasulullah saw had succeeded in uniting Makkah and Madinah. Rasulullah also succeeded in spreading Islam more widely to the entire Arabian Peninsula.
