The story of a dog that went berserk because the name of the prophet Muhammad was insulted, scratched this person's face

Muslimcreed – When religion, Allah and His Prophet are insulted, of course we as Muslims will not accept it and may become angry. The universe other than humans alone will not be pleased if this religion is criticized. Consider the following story which is quite astonishing, the story of a dog that attacked a blasphemer of the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam and made 40,000 people convert to Islam because they saw this incident.

It is mentioned from Jamaluddin Ibrahim bin Muhammad ath Tibi that there was a Mongol ruler who apostatized to become a Christian. One day a number of Christian and Mongol dignitaries gathered. Start one of them insulting the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam. In the room was a hound that was tied up.

When the person continued to insult the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam, suddenly the dog jumped at him and managed to claw his face before finally the people present were able to save him from the dog’s claws.

One of the audience said, “This is because of your insult to Muhammad sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam”.

He said, “No, but the dog is too sensitive . He saw me gesturing with my hand towards him and then he thought I was going to hit him.”

Then he again insulted the Prophet sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam and even went on to insult him, suddenly the dog jumped again and bit his throat and pulled it off. The person dies instantly. This incident is the reason there are approximately 40 thousand Mongols converted to Islam.

The act of criticizing religion is very despicable as well as forbidden to be used as a joke to make people laugh even though there is no intention of harassing.

When the person continued to insult the Prophet SAW, suddenly the dog pounced on him and managed to claw his face before finally the people present were able to save him from the dog’s claws.

One of the audience said, “This is because of your insult to Muhammad SAW”.

He said, “No, but the dog is too sensitive . He saw me gesturing with my eyes towards him then he thought that I would beat him” ⁣

Then he insulted the Prophet SAW even extended insulting words, suddenly the dog jumped again and bit his throat and pulled it off. The person dies instantly. This incident is the reason there are approximately 40 thousand Mongols converted to Islam.

Wisdom

This story deserves our wisdom and valuable lesson. The scholars responded to this incident with two views as quoted from the santri sovereignty portal (Impression).

First, even animals get angry when Prophet Muhammad SAW is insulted, then what about us as his people? They argue that Muslims should be even more angry and react strongly.

Second, we are humans, not animals like dogs. So, we shouldn’t react like dogs. We can be angry, but we can’t judge ourselves.

When preaching in Mecca, the Prophet Muhammad was often abused, insulted, beaten, stoned with dirt and filth, until he was about to be killed. However, he was patient and did not repay him with evil. As a result, one by one the people who were hostile to him like Umar bin Khattab turned into loyal friends just as the verse above revealed.

Today, this also happens. Arnoud Van Doorn, an anti-Islamic Dutch politician, used to like to insult the Prophet Muhammad through his film “Fitna”. After discussing with Muslims and learning the story of the Prophet Muhammad, he embraced Islam and immediately went to Medina to visit the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad. He apologized in front of the grave of the Prophet Muhammad as a form of regret.
