Every Muslim certainly wants himself to be able to achieve LailatulQadar on one of the nights in the month of Ramadan, namely the night of Lailatul Qadar which is special and better than a thousand.
Some Muslims think LailatulQadar is in the last 10 days of Ramadan, and others have a different opinion. The scholars also have different opinions about the time of LailatulQadar in the month of Ramadan.
Ahmad Sarwat in his book Guarantee to Get LailatulQadar explains the various opinions of scholars about the time of LailatulQadar. There are eight opinions from the scholars presented by Ahmad.
“Scholars when talking about exactly when the night of Qadar fell, have different opinions throughout the ages. It’s not because the scholars are unable to get a proof, but precisely because there is no argument that explicitly states when,” wrote Ahmad.
Odd Night in the Last 10 Nights of Ramadan
Scholars who hold this opinion include the Al-Malikiyah School, Ash-Shafi’iyah and Al-Hanabilah, as well as Al-Auza’i and Abu Thaur. The Al-Malikiyah and Al-Hanabilah schools even confirmed that LailatulQadar fell on the 27th night of Ramadan. This is stated in the book Al-MajmuSyarah Al-Muhadzdzab by Imam Nawawi. The first opinion is the opinion of the majority of scholars.
One of the All Nights of Ramadan
Ibn Abidin in the book HasyiatuAbdin Volume 2 put forward this second opinion. This opinion says LailatulQadar is throughout Ramadan, from the first night to the last night. That is, LailatulQadar can be on one of the nights throughout Ramadan.
10 Last Nights of Ramadan
This opinion says LailatulQadar is on one of the nights in the last 10 of Ramadan, but it cannot be ascertained on what date. According to this opinion, although not known, the date does not change and every year always falls on the same night. This opinion is the official opinion of the Ash-Shafi’iyah School, as narrated by Imam Nawawi.
LailatulQadar is a special night that is better than the night of a thousand months.
First Night of Ramadan
According to this opinion, LailatulQadar falls on the first night of the month of Ramadan, and this opinion was conveyed by Abi Razin al-Uqaili ash-Shahabi, who narrated the hadith from Ibn Abbas. “The night of Qadar falls on the first night of the month of Ramadan.” This opinion is found in the book Fathul Bari volume 4, written by Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani.
The 17th night of Ramadan
This opinion is based on the hadith narrated by Ath-Tabarani and Abu Syaibah, from the path of Zaid bin Arqam. Rasulullah SAW said, “I have no doubt that the night of the 17th of Ramadan is the night the Qur’an was revealed.”
In the hadith narrated from Ibn Masud, LailatulQadar is the night during which the Battle of Badr took place, based on the word of Allah SWT in Surah Al-Anfal verse 41, “If you believe in Allah and in what We send down to Our servants on the Day of Furqaan. , that is on the day the two armies meet.”
10 Midnight of Ramadan
Imam Nawawi explained about this opinion. Some of the scholars in the Shafi’i school of thought have this opinion. Then Imam ath-Tabari attributed this opinion to Uthman bin Abil ‘Ash and Hasan Basri.
Congregants read the holy book during Tarawih prayers at the Habiburahman Grand Mosque in Bandung, West Java. During the last ten days of Ramadan, Muslims stay and spend the night with tents in the mosque to meet the night of LailatulQadar. – (M AgungRajasa/Antara)
19th night of Ramadan
Ibn Hajar gave an explanation, the argument for this opinion was narrated by Abdurrazzaq from the path of Ali bin Abi Talib. Imam ath-Tabari relates the hadith to Zaid bin Thabit and Ibn Masud. Meanwhile, ath-Tahawi related the hadith to Ibn Masud.
Move around every Ramadan
That is, for this opinion, LailatulQadar in one Ramadan is not the same as Ramadan the following year. It could be, LailatulQadar in the last 10 days of Ramadan moved to another night. This opinion was conveyed considering the many differences based on various narrations. All narrations cannot be rejected but also cannot be combined to arrive at a conclusion about when LailatulQadar fell.
KH. Salahuddin Al-Ayyubi stated, if you want to get LailatulQadar, then every Muslim must multiply worship since the beginning of Ramadan.
Hopefully we are all given the opportunity to be able to worship on the night of lailatulqadr
